We also operate a dedicated 'family' site for the younger riders, situated in open grassland & forestry its an excellent introduction to the rapidly evolving world of Quad biking!

Initially all children begin their ride in a paddock area. Under instruction they are shown the bikes & the controls & then monitored as they ride round the paddock, additional help is given as & when required.

Once the instructors are satisfied that the children have become familiar with their bikes the trail will begin, usually covering open grass fields & some woodland sections. Adults are also able to accompany their children on separate adult sized bikes - again with instruction if required.

Safety gear is provided including helmet, gloves, boots & light water proofs.

This Quad Trail ride lasts for around an hour, please allow additional time for getting 'togged' up & briefing etc...

Due to site relocation no bookings for kids quads can be taken.  This service will be launched again soon. You might wish to book a trip in an Argocat, full details can be found here.

Moorland Adventure Sport is one of the few off-road centers which allows people to bring along their own quad bike. Many of the trails will suit both 2 & 4 wheel drive bikes, although some sections may prove a challenge even on a well shod 4x4 bike!

If you have just purchased a new quad bike then you may want a few hours guidance before going it alone - no problem, our LANTRA qualified instructors will be only too pleased to show you the best ways in staying on your bike!!

The trails cover a massive 40,000 acres & can easily provide a whole weekends riding without covering the same tracks over & over again...

For the more experienced riders you can go it alone - no need to have an instructor in toe..

A briefing is provided at the start of your trail covering good riding practice. Navigation of the trails is also covered & you are issued Special maps covering all the trails.

Safety logs are kept & should you not report back to base before your chosen end time all site instructors are informed & will be on the look out for your group.

Included in the charge for this activity is a recovery service - should you bike breakdown we will get it collected & return you & your machine back to base - all you need to do is call us & quote your location on the map provided.

Are you finding it difficult to get your whole group together for a quad trail? Then why not come along in the evening - after work during the week...

With a 7pm start our 2 hour Night trail is just the ticket, combine this with a swift pint down at the Moorcock Inn at the end of the run & you have got yourself a great 'mates' night out! Groups of up to 18 can be accommodated. The evening route covers around 25 miles of terrain including deep ruts, steep climbs & some great camber sections - again all safety gear is provided.

Charge for this option is £65 per bike with a 10% discount of 10 or more bikes are booked in one session.
