This activity is run daily
The North Yorkshire Moors has, over the last decade become a very popular destination for off-road motor sport. Our Langdale Quest facility (the largest in the UK) has over the past 10 years provided over 1.2 million off-road driving hours for 4x4 drivers.
Unfortunately, a similar facility for Trail Bikes does not exist & as a result many riders either research the 'unsurfaced' rights of way for themselves' or ride anywhere - legal or not.
In line with recent publication from the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, endorsed by the Forestry Commission, National Trust, Cleveland & North Yorkshire Police. The team at Moorland Adventure Sport are now able to provide a unique guide service to individuals & groups for trail riding in the North Yorkshire Moors area. |

Our instructors will lead you or your group along some of the best trails available, providing you with invaluable local knowledge of were you can & can't ride.
With over 130 miles of off-road terrain available, we can compile a route to suit any skill level, be it for an hour or a full days trail ride, taking in some of the best scenery that the North Yorkshire Moors has to offer.
On the longer trails essential lunch stops can be included into the route & re-fueling points can also be arranged.
Bike recovery is also included in some of the options - so should your bike breakdown & leave you stranded out on the Moor we will collect & return the bike back to the start point for you.
Authorities in the Lake District National Park have published a 'Green Road Code' - our Trail Riding service follows (where possible) their advice in order to help minimize the impact of this activity with other users of the National Park.
So, if your planning a trip with your trail bike & then why not join us for a fantastic day's riding on some of the UK's best lanes...

Cost is £35 per hour - this is the charge for the run - up to 6 bikes can join for this cost - THIS IS NOT COST PER BIKE. |
It is accepted that some groups will be sufficiently skilled at both trail riding & map reading to undertake our routes safely. As a result, we can provide you with a road book / map showing the route we have selected for you given your rider skill level.
We will also provide you with a safety briefing at the start of your trail & bike recovery should any of the bikes in your group breakdown.
The cost for this is only £20 per hour for the group - to a maximum of 6 bikes.
If your group is larger than 6 then we would recommend splitting the group. You will be able to meet at set points along your trail. |
In all cases, when you book we will need to know the following criteria:
- Which option applies to your booking (see above)
- Please advise us of how many bikes in your group.
- Please also advise us of the Start time & date for your trail.
- We also need to know how long you want to ride for - this will allow us to plan a route in advance.
- Please also select from novice rider, intermediate or experienced - as this will affect the route we plan for you.
Please note - it is the riders responsibility to ensure their bike is both road legal, well prepared & maintained to an acceptable standard.
In order to use the GPS on your bike it needs to be fitted with a standard cigarette lighter socket 12v with negative earth - this will allow the unit to be charged from the bike & ensure it works all day long.
